Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Manual Mode is free forever — full fund-based budgeting with up to 15 funds and 100 manual transactions a month. No credit card, no ads, and no time limit.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No. You can budget entirely by hand in Manual Mode. Bank connections (on Essentials) are optional, encrypted, and read-only — and you can disconnect at any time.
Does the AI ever move my money?
Never. Steward's AI only suggests — you confirm every categorization and every budget change yourself. Its guidance is informational only, not financial advice, and it's always labeled as AI-generated.
